PRECISION AGRICULTURAL SPECIALIST
Overview
The Precision Agriculture Specialist 2 year Program of Study prepares students for careers that bridge the gaps between agronomy, agriculture, machinery management, and data analytic sciences caused by the rapid evolution of high-speed sensor agricultural technology. Employment opportunities are abundant in roles such as precision agriculture specialists, research scientists, crop specialists, who work with soil testing companies, crop consulting firms, and fertilizer and chemical companies.
Learning Objectives:

Operate precision machinery and equipment while observing all safety precautions in the AFNR settings

Differentiate among, select, and apply appropriate tools and technology emerging in the agriculture industry

Execute control, monitoring, geospatial and other technology data to improve agriculture efficiency

Examine principles and practices of weed science, entomology, and plant pathology applied to crop production systems.
